moving in

source: Modnique

Love the above outfit - want that blazer so terribly. Spent the past few days moving into my apartment for the school year. I can't believe we're already juniors, and more than halfway done with college. Should have a few pictures to put up over the next few days. Got two new film cameras to play around with, so hopefully I'll have a handful of cool new shots there as well!

all the things ahead of you

Forever21 top / American Apparel skirt / Steve Madden shoes / Zara bag / Vintage belt
Was terrible about using my camera even though I decided this morning that I'd make a conscious effort to take more pictures today. Hopped all over the place and shopped with my sister before taking her to Kimi's for her 15th birthday dinner. Got quite a bit of yummy seafood (sauteed oysters shown above were delicious!) and am still stuffed 8 hours later.

a bit of ripped denim

Vintage top / Urban Renewal shorts / Zara bag / Yacht Week sunglasses
Simple day out. Was pretty exhausted today, so my cousin and I took it easy and stopped by the theater to catch Crazy, Stupid, Love. I'm not usually one for romantic comedies, but I actually quite enjoyed this one at times. It featured an ensemble cast that I wouldn't have imagined together myself, but the actors' on-screen dynamic was pretty decent. Though it's a bit labored at times, I wouldn't rule out recommending it if only for Gosling's excellent abs (but really, Steve Carell is quite likable as Cal.)

tropical weather

Thrifted sweater / Forever 21 skirt / Zara bag
Haven't been very good about taking photos on this trip, but I've been wandering around quite a bit in Palm Beach. Snapped this yesterday while walking around the neighborhood, right before another storm. The weather's quite temperamental here; tropical storms appear and disappear all within 30 minutes to an hour.

stylebits: four

Free People
More incredible images from Free People. Have noticed that I've got an obsession with textured red heels this season. Still on a hunt for the perfect pair.

Just landed in Palm Beach on Friday for a week of rest and relaxation. Within the last 48 hours, I've done nothing but laze around in the pool, tan, and browse the net for inspiration. About to run off to shop for my new apartment -- barely over a week and a half until I move in!

Some more photos from January, when Adilla and I styled Rachel Thevenard and James Newman.

stylebits: three

Free People / Terry Richardson / Limite
Like always, as fall draws closer, I have an insatiable desire for chunky knit sweaters, dark lace, sequins, and mussed up, big hair. Free People has really been quite spot-on with its campaigns lately; many of the images above are captures I took from the August in Venice video on Vimeo.

Free People did an excellent job capturing the essence of August: a healthy dose of nostalgia injected into a laissez-faire attitude towards life mixed in with beautiful sunset hues always makes me think of the last few weeks of summer, preparing me for the transition into cooler months, which I think shine through in these photos of Isabeli Fontana and Karlie Kloss, both captured by Terry Richardson.

mad decent block party

Some shots I took during Mad Decent Block Party at South Street Seaport
Got back from Mad Decent Block Party at South Street Seaport a few hours ago. Went with some friends from high school to check out some new sounds and dance a lot. We spent most of the day crushed against the front of the crowd, having a good time.

For a free (!) music festival it was pretty incredible, but I didn't really expect much less from such a stacked label; The Hood Internet, Maluca Mala, Zeds Dead, DJ Mehdi, BAIO (Vampire Weekend), and Claude VonStroke killed it. I wish I could go to the Philly, Chicago, and LA shows (particularly Philly and LA for Diplo and Major Lazer), but my schedule's booked solid for the next six weeks.

On another note, I really want that photographer's shirt.
